This section collects DMR protocol and radio-configuration notes that are compatible with IPSC3.
| Section | Description |
|---|---|
| bMaster+ Trunk Notes | Observed bMaster+ keepalive/media behaviour, dashboard options, routing behaviour, and current limits. |
| DMR Data Protocol Descriptions | Protocol descriptions for private data, GPS, SMS, and related DMR data mechanisms. |
| GPS Setup | Radio setup guidance for AnyTone GPS/APRS and Motorola CPS GPS/data service settings. |
| MMDVM Hotspot Configuration | Recommended hotspot setup and IPSC3-specific MMDVM options including scan include/exclude filtering, talker alias, and dashboard token self-service controls. |
| Motorola ARS | Motorola Automatic Registration Service notes as implemented and observed in IPSC3. |
| Motorola SMS/TMS | Motorola text messaging transport, ACK handling, MMDVM wrapping, store-and-forward relay, and IPSC3 SMS service behaviour. |
| Motorola Short Commands | Operator signalling, call alert, radio disable/re-enable guardrails, and field-observed transport notes. |
| Motorola LRRP GPS | Motorola ARS-triggered LRRP GPS polling, response decoding, waiting/fix status, and APRS-IS forwarding. |
| DMR Voice Prompts | Shared AMBE prompt generation, clipping prevention, and MMDVM, Motorola, and Hytera playback framing. |
| Parrot Audio Level Reports | Post-call decoded-AMBE peak, RMS, dBFS and clipping reports, with retained Last Heard measurements. |
| Radio IP Gateway | Experimental Motorola private-data IPv4 gateway mapping for UDP, TCP and ICMP diagnostics. |
| Talkgroup and Routing Behaviour | Static, dynamic, scan, listen-only, trunk mapping, allowlist, private-call, and roaming behaviour. |
| DMR Test Frames | Reproducible AMBE+2 reference vectors including a 1 kHz tone in raw, canonical, DMR OTA, and Motorola IPSC formats. |
| YSF Reflector Trunks | Bidirectional YSF V/D Mode 2 conversion, individual caller identity, reflector mapping, and routing isolation. |
IPSC3 handles several different DMR data and signalling paths. They are separate mechanisms and should not be treated as the same protocol.
| Mechanism | Purpose |
|---|---|
| GPS setup | Radio configuration guidance for AnyTone GPS/APRS and Motorola CPS GPS/data services. |
| MMDVM hotspot configuration | Hotspot setup guidance, IPSC3 custom MMDVM options, and scoped hotspot dashboard token controls. |
| bMaster+ trunking | IPSC2-style bMaster+ keepalive and Motorola/IPSC media trunk behaviour. |
| APRS over DMR private data | AnyTone-style GPS/APRS position reporting to IPSC3. |
| SMS/TMS | Short text messages to and from radios. |
| Motorola ARS | Motorola radio registration and presence signalling. |
| Motorola Short Commands | Operator-only Motorola signalling for active ARS radios. |
| Motorola BMS | Motorola battery/status style data. |
| Motorola LRRP | Motorola location request/response for ARS-present radios. |
| DMR voice prompts | Generated linked/unlinked, busy, Parrot, and status prompt playback across DMR endpoints. |
| Parrot audio reports | Bounded post-call audio level analysis and spoken feedback on Parrot calls. |
| Radio IP Gateway | Motorola private-data IPv4 packet detection, UDP forwarding, TCP proxy testing, and ICMP echo diagnostics. |
| OpenGD77 TA-GPS | In-band GPS in Talker Alias style voice metadata, displayed as GD77 when decoded. |
| YSF reflector trunking | Bidirectional YSF V/D Mode 2 group voice conversion through one local talkgroup and timeslot mapping. |
GPS and data processing must remain outside the live voice path. IPSC3 stores and forwards GPS data asynchronously so APRS-IS or database delays do not affect audio quality.
